History Forged in Glass:
A Legacy of Blazing Craftsmanship

With 90 Years of Gratitude

Since 1935, Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial has been devoted to crafting superior glass cutters, earning the enduring trust of our valued customers. In 1957, we revolutionized the industry by developing our own polishing technology, becoming the first in the world to manufacture and sell glass cutters with tungsten carbide wheels—a breakthrough that set the world ablaze.

For nearly a century, we’ve relentlessly pursued innovation in cutting (-edge) technology. As we mark our 90th anniversary, we return to our roots, blending the artistry and skill passed down through generations with our burning passion for craftsmanship.

The result is the “OZREE”—a product born from the hands of craftsmen who have blazed a trail for glass cutters. With deep gratitude to those who have supported us, we proudly present this milestone in our legacy, embodying the spirit of our journey and evolution.

ReviewWe had a professional artist
try out the OZREE.

Stained glass artist | Masaki Uruga

“As someone who’s used conventional glass cutters for years, I never really had any complaints about how they worked. They did the job, especially for straight cuts, but there were definitely some things that could’ve been better.
When cutting irregular shapes or following a template, the line would sometimes get hard to see, which could throw things off a bit. And while the old-school, rugged design of these tools has its own charm, they weren’t exactly stylish.

Honestly, I didn’t think glass cutters would ever change. But then I tried the OZREE, and it’s a game changer in terms of usability, shape, and design.

First off, it looks sleek—kind of like a high-end pen. The full-metal body gives it a good weight, and the streamlined design makes it feel great in your hand.
It’s a tool that’s actually enjoyable to use.

What really blew me away, though, was how clearly the cutter blade can be seen while cutting away. As a stained glass artist, accuracy is everything. If the cut isn’t perfect, it means extra work later on. With this cutter, I could follow the line with razor-sharp precision. Not to mention the clean, perpendicular cuts I could make, which saved me a lot of time in the polishing process that comes afterwards.

Stained glass is expensive, and one wrong cut can lead to serious time and money loss. When you’re working with continuous patterns, one mistake means redoing multiple pieces. OZREE has been a huge relief because it reduces those costly errors and keeps the momentum going.

The OZREE isn’t just about style—it’s about performance. Whether you’re a pro or a beginner, this tool might just inspire you to dive into glass cutting. I really hope it helps more people discover the joys of glass art.”
